The craftsmen at the marketplace in the Viking Age cast lots of jewellery, as we know from finds that our archaeologists have dug out of the ground.
This summer holiday, our museum Viking, Jens, has got his moulds out.
On selected Tuesdays and Thursdays, children can join him in casting their very own Viking jewellery out of tin.
The activity has a limited number of places, so remember to buy an activity ticket at the ticket office.
Practical information:
During the summer holidays, you can make your very own rune stone at the museum.
Decorate your stone with beautiful runes and colourful patterns. Get inspired by real rune stones or decide for yourself what to write on your stone
All ages are welcome – we provide acrylic markers, stones and inspiration.
Practical information:
Explore the Middle Age exhibition and try your hand at our “Find an artefact” hunt. Maybe there’s even a prize for the most skillful finders.
